Do yourself a favor and stop in Red Oak! Kevin, the airport Mgr is the kindest fellow you will ever encounter. Their costs are good, and the whole experience defines “friendly small airport”. We remained overnight, and Kevin loaned us the crew car and suggested a fine hotel with a wonderful dining establishment! (Taco Tuesday, and the crispy tacos were the best I’ve ever tasted. We will certainly return, thank you Kevin!

Don’t miss this spot! Good folks and service. I was met by the kindest FBO manager to assist me fuel. My old man brain forgot his name but he was amazing. Not the cheapest fuel around but near and the crew car and hospitality was good!

I have been landing in Red Oak, IA for 10 years. First with a Mooney and lately with a Twin Cessna. This is one of the finest airports across the Midwest. Their fuel prices are always low and the fuel pump is very easy to work. Their FBO has 24/7 access, has a nice kitchenette, and there are always folks around to talk to. They have a shower in the restrooms if needed. It is quick to get into IFR while talking with Omaha Approach. They have a courtesy car if necessary too.

Good FBO. Friendly people, fine service, fairly inexpensive gas. Highly suggested!
