Wont answer phone, wont return calls left on answering machine and dont return emails...

Came for BBQ and saw inexpensive fuel at Modern Jet. Arrived and the building was locked. Called their phone number and they answered quickly. They offered their crew car despite the fact that they no longer own the fuel pumps. Fuel pumps across the ramp are owned by the airport now. Took the crew car and got some BBQ!

Several years ago my wife and I dropped in to go to Moonlight BBQ. 7 Feb 24 we decided to stop in again and were greatly let down there wasn't a single person there. We ended up taxiing over to MidAmerica Jet where we were met by a marshaller and were able to use the courtesy car to go eat BBQ (Old Hickory this time).

This FBO clearly is after the volume business as fuel costs can’t be topped. The self-serve setup is wonderful with a fine ramp to loop back around to parking after you are finished fueling. Fuel receipt printer was out of service when used, which was somewhat problematic considering I needed to submit it for reimbursement to the place I rented from. The FBO is not manned on the weekend and it shows. The FBO building next to the pump is a single bathroom and a large open area with tables to eat. The trash cans were overflowing and it didn’t feel very-clean at all. Address that and add some vending machines for the starving passengers and this place would be sparse yet ideal.

What a superb stop. Very kind folks on the ground - simple access. Not busy at all. No real extras here, but they have a nicely appointed small lounge with a restroom and shower. I’d be back.
