Good fuel stop on a bitter cold day in 30 kt winds. Line crew was eager and helpful.

Flew in June 4. Called ahead a couple days prior concerning charges. No charges. They also gave fine details about car rental. Full service was good. Cordial service! Hangar fee was $58 (single engine). They did start a 2% credit card transaction fee for credit card payments. I was quite pleased with their customer service. Rental cars - Columbus auto mart is a very good option. They’ll bring the vehicle to the FBO (call ahead very much suggested) and you can drop it off there too (they pick it up). $40 / day with 100 miles per day free. $.25 per mile above. Dave was great to work with.

Surprised today about the $15 ramp fee, disclosed to us 20 minutes after landing when we were getting ready to depart after a short pit stop. They offered a 5 gallon fuel purchase as an alternative, but by then we were getting ready to leave. No mention was made whether a business versus pleasure trip (we were on a practice trip and not a business trip). This surely discourages return visits.

Poor customer service. Stopped in to inquire about flight instructors in the area to complete my multi engine instrument rating. The individual at the counter was unaware and directed me to speak with I presume the FBO manager. The manager was on the telephone for 30 minutes complaining about the city charging the FBO excessively and how they do not sell sufficient fuel.
