Flew in yesterday to watch the solar eclipse. They handled the large crowd (~100 planes) very smoothly. Everyone was pleasant and helpful. A good experience! Thank you!

Have landed at many towered and non-towered airports. This has to be ranked number 1. Personnel were welcoming and quite capable. A special commendation to Shawn.

Good FBO which had a super cooled water bottle ready for me when I arrived on a hot & humid day. Fuel Truck Service while I was able to prep the papers for the next flt. Friendly Tower and Approach Controller. Came from Chicago to accomplish my long X-Country. Airport has wide open space with 2 large runways which makes it very safe for landings and departures. Can strongly recommend to visit and make training progress. As well St. Louis Radio can be very good directly received at the AXO VOR area. Perfect to practice PIREPs.
