Quite the experience flying to this airport. Crew car available, about a 20 min drive to the nearest town with bunch of options for a fine lunch. (Also spa if interested). Staff was pretty relaxed, FBO was a little vacant as there is a new one in construction which is scheduled to open in April 26.

Good people that truly wish to share the background of the region and airport. Crew car was undergoing maintenance, anticipate returning to discover the locale.

Flew in on a Saturday afternoon and was greeted by Mack. He gave me a good history of the airport and surrounding areas. Bought a shirt with the plan to return. Fine airfield and a great staff member in Mack!!!

First mountain top landing, at the highest public airport east of the Mississippi. Be ready for a strong wind but the finest views. Can’t express enough about the warm greeting and generosity of Mack!

Quick flight in today and a good place to visit, airport dog was a fine surprise. Crew car was made available so we could visit the homestead for lunch. Looking forward to visiting again. Thanks.

We flew in yesterday on a beautiful fall morning. A bit windy but clear. The FBO is fine and Parke is a terrific manager. Tied up our plane and let us have use of the crew car to visit some family in Covington. Homestead renovations are going to be amazing. Fuel is $$ but highly recommend.
